Read up on what Marcello has to say about fast food, the difference between ice cream and gelato, what he misses about italy.
Gelato con Cuore
Tutto Amore translates to mean Everything is Love - and we mean exactly that. Everything at Tutto Amore is made with love. It is our passion for gelato that drives us to bring you the most authentic and best tasting gelato directly from Italy. The combination of our first class product, our unique Italian store design and our warm service will transport you to the heart of Italy with each bite.
Gelato vs Ice Cream: What’s the Difference?
While traditional American-style ice cream can have anywhere from 13% - 17% fat, our gelato has a fat content that ranges between 8% - 10%. The difference is that gelato is made with milk rather than cream. A small cup of our most basic flavor, Fior di Latte, has approximately the calorie equivalent of a banana or a tall glass of milk. The second difference between gelato and ice cream is its air content. Air gets whipped into ice cream as it churns much in the same way cream becomes whipped cream. Gelato, however, because it is made with milk rather than cream, does not expand. The high density of gelato allows for a higher intensity of flavor per bite. For this reason, high quality but subtle flavors like hazelnut and tiramisu are available to you in gelato but not in ice cream. To put it simply, gelato is healthier, tastier and creamier.
Yummy!
